Immanuel is a Confessional Lutheran congregation that embraces our rich, Lutheran heritage of liturgy, hymnody and sacred music. The Lutheran Service Book (LSB) is our primary hymnal. We follow the Church Year calendar and our worship services are constructed from LSB lectionary readings (pericopes). Hymns and anthems reflect the liturgical seasons and lectionary readings themes.
There are many opportunities to serve God and His people through music here at Immanuel. If you can sing in the choir, play an instrument, sing a solo, or be part of a musical ensemble, come join us as we use God’s gift of music to worship and praise Him!
Immanuel Music Groups
Our Chancel Choir is an adult choir open to anyone high school age or above, regardless of musical ability or experience. This choir provides music for worship and leads the congregation in liturgy and hymnody. Singing a mix of classical works by the great masters and quality choral music by today’s composers, the choir is occasionally joined by brass, strings, woodwinds, percussion and/or other instruments.
Our Handbell Ensemble provides special music for our worship services and concerts. Anyone who can read notes on a musical score at a basic level can play handbells, and is invited to become part of this special music ministry.
