Prayer
Show:

"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. ""      ""    " 1Timothy 2:1-4 (ESV)

"Is anyone of you suffering? Pray! Are you happy? Sing a song of praise! Is anyone among you sick? Let him call the elders of the church and let them pray....The earnest prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much." James 5:13-14a,16b (Beck, An American Translation)

God in His Word calls upon us to pray, to pray with others, and to request the prayers of others.  Immanuel Lutheran Church regularly includes in its worship services the prayers of its people where requested prayers are put forth by the congregation.

Immanuel also has a prayer chain where email prayer requests are received and prayed for by participants of the congregation.

Immanuel has begun a bi-monthly prayer group that meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.  Each meeting the group studies an aspect of prayer and spends approximately 45 minutes in prayer.  Everyone is welcome to join in this time of communal conversation with our Lord.

If you have a prayer request, the webmaster will review all submitted prayer requests and forward them to the ministerial staff.

Thank you God for the miracles you work! And thank you to our church family for joining us in prayer for our friend Katy Adams. Her baby is now home with her and healing more than doctors thought possible. We are happy to see that such a sad story has resulted in one of joy and brought many people to believe in Christ through this miracle. 01-08-2012

ECE Program
Submitted by: ECE Committee
Please pray that the ECE Program will thrive and that the Lord will lead more parents to enroll their children. Pray also that He will lead the right person to us for the directors position. It is an ongoing project to restructure the program, so also continue to pray for God's guidance to the committee so they will make the best possible decisions to further grow Immanuel's ministry to spread the Gospel.08-04-2011
